Kwaw de Graft-Johnson is a Senior Finance Consultant at Firstcode Management Services, with several years of experience in the Banking and Non-Bank Financial Sector and Accountancy in Ghana. He has worked in both the Money Market and the Capital Market in Ghana. He is also the Managing Director of Kwaw and Associates Limited.
He was the Finance Manager of the SDC Group of Companies consisting of a Discount House, a Brokerage, and an Investment Company. He was an Executive Director of Purple Management Services which specialized in Project Management and Business Advisory Services.
He has prepared feasibility reports and business plans for Microfinance Institutions, Rural Banks, a Forex Bureau, Agricultural Food Processing, Manufacturing Businesses, Real Estate Companies, Tertiary Educational Institutions, and the Hospitality Industry.
He has also prepared business valuation reports and various manuals in Accounting, Credit, Internal Controls, and Assets and Liabilities Management. He has also provided Accountancy, Taxation,
Audit, and Compliance Services to some organizations. Kwaw was a Financial Systems Analyst for Technoserve (an American NGO in the Agricultural sector). He also worked with KPMG Peat Marwick Okoh & Company and was involved in the audit of all types of organizations, small, medium, and large manufacturing and trading companies, banks, pension institutions (SSNIT), Charities, and Government Organizations. He also participated in International Audits on three Projects in Burkina Faso on behalf of the Dutch Government.
He was also an Independent Trustee on NBC Trust Ghana and Ideal Pension Trust Ghana. He was a director of two companies in the Logistics and Transport Sector and an international Educational Institution. He is currently a Director of Kwaw and Associates and Firstcode Rwanda.
Kwaw holds an MSc in Microfinance from the University of Cape Coast, a Graduate Diploma in Population Studies from the University of Ghana, Legon, BSc (Hons) from the University of Ghana, Legon. He also has non-professional qualifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) and the Institute of Bankers (Ghana).
